Why Ultraviolet (UV) Light?

Most people spend the majority of their time inside of there

homes and offices. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

warns that the air inside of your home or office may be up to 10 times

more polluted than the outside air.  The EPA has listed indoor air quality (IAC)

as one of the largest environmental heal risks today!  It is called Sick Building

Syndrome.

Microscopic mold, mildew, bacteria and viruses linger in the air leading to allergies, asthma, respiratory disease and infection.  This unseen biohazard's can live and breed within your air conditioning system’s moist environment, encouraging these microorganisms to breed multiply and grow. Once airborne these unseen particles can pose a serious health threat.

Micro-organisms that travel through your indoor air can get trapped in the moist environment of your air-conditioning system.  Bacteria can then breed and spread throughout your home or office.

Fogmasters UV filter system attacks and sterilizes micro organisms where they live and breed in your air-conditioning system.  The system filters and purifies the air that moves through your home or office improving the quality of air that you breathe.

At present, germicidal ultraviolet light (UV), when properly integrated into a heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system, is an effective method for preventing indoor air contamination from spreading throughout your home or office.

How do UV Light Works?

Germicidal ultraviolet light penetrates the cell walls of the micro organisms present in your air handling system causing cellular damage, either killing the cells or preventing them from reproducing. The use of UV Light’s can result in a 99% reduction of the concentration of germs on the surfaces within your heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Therefore reducing maintenance cost of having to clean your coils yearly as well as reduced energy costs since a clean (HVAC) runs more

efficiently.

How long has UV Light been around?

Since the beginning of time. The earth has its own way of cleaning the outside air that we breathe by the use of sunlight.  Technology has taken the germ killing rays from the

sun called UVC light, which has recently become available for homes and offices.
